The Montessori approach to educating young children involves carefully preparing a classroom environment with appropriate materials for self-directed learning. The children working in such a setting have greater ability to concentrate, prefer order, choose activities readily, have a serene sense of personal dignity, explode into writing and reading, and have an internal discipline. In this environment, children have many opportunities for concrete experiences which lead to abstractions for later academic work.
Infant (Nido) … We offer a high quality infant program to ensure that each baby’s emotional, cognitive, physical and social needs are met. Our rooms are clean, bright, cozy, and secure, with an exclusive cushioned outdoor space. Our teachers communicate extensively with the parents about the baby’s day and their use of our educational materials which aid motor development, visual focus, and concentration.
Toddler … Our toddler classrooms are specifically designed to cater to the rapidly developing physical and psychological needs of each child. Our skilled teachers prepare each classroom to provide ample opportunities for eye hand coordination, language development, independence as well as care of self and environment.
Primary … The core of the Montessori primary curriculum is based on the activities of Practical Life, Sensorial, Mathematics, Language and Cultural Arts using pedagogic Montessori materials. Children acquire self-discipline and independence, deepen concentration and increase attention span through independent work.
Kindergarten … Our Kindergarten curriculum covers mathematics, language, biology, botany, physical sciences, history, and geography as well as the arts. Our program prepares children not only for academic success but also instills in them civic and moral responsibility to be successful throughout their lives.
